The Power Station of Art, originally the site of China's first electric light factory, is now host to the Shanghai Biennale. Its 165-meter chimney was transformed into a giant "thermometer" during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

上海当代艺术博物馆是上海双年展的主场馆，其建筑由原南市发电厂改造而来，这里曾点亮中国的第一盏电灯，也曾是2010上海世博会“城市未来馆”，期间发电厂165米高的大烟囱被改造成了一个巨大的“温度计”，成为上海最醒目的地标之一。
